Using SignalTrack
FIXED SITES
Fixed sites may be connected to SignalTrack via a serial port, a telephone modem, or an intranet or
Internet connection. For information on the equipment and connections required at each individual
site see Networking Direction Finders.
SignalTrack requires information about the sites to collect data and display the bearing data. To
enter this information select Site Editor... from the Setup menu. The following dialog box will be
displayed.
To add a site use the mouse to push the New button. The following dialog box will be displayed.
Type in the name you would like to use for the site and select the method
that will be used to communicate with the site.
Polled sites are for use by customers using our now discontinued serial expanders
Select Direct Serial if the direction finder for this site is connected directly to the computer's
serial port or is connected via a dedicated leased-line modem
Select Modem if the site is to be connected by modem
Select Ethernet if the sites is to be connected via an Ethernet connection
Press OK and one of the three dialog boxes shown below will be displayed.
